today at petsmart i saw this blood parrot but the colors were mixed with black and gray and some of them has no orange or red.it was nine dollars so i was going to buy it but i wanted to know is there something wrong with it? the blood red parrots were 24 dollarsso i wasn't going to buy that.
how big was it? all parrots are born black/grey, they will eventually fade into orange. any parrot you see that has color at less then 2" approx. is dyed.
the process of turning from grey to orange is called fading, which comes from the midas gene.
this is my parrot which is still losing his black.
they will all turn orange/red for you, so no, they are not sick , i would say if you like Bp's then go get a couple
glad i could help.
