i know there is no set way to determine the sex of young angelfish without waiting till they breed or pair off. i do, however, remember a member or two having some "rule of thumb" type suggestions to determine their sex before buying them. as it has been a long time since i read that and have no idea where i found it, if anyone could give me some ideas that would be amazing. thanks!
it has something to do with the sexual organ being
different shape i think, and perhaps the males eye being redder than the females ?
try and google angelfish sexing, and click on the images section.
The males have a more prodominant hump on their foreheads, where as the females have a straighter foreheads. Or whatever that area is. forehead/body/thing. You get the picture. =]
awesome. thanks for the input. I'm not necessarily looking for a fail-proof way to sex them. I'm planning on buying two angels in the future, and if they happen to have babies thats just a benefit.
