Balloon Ram Fries

Hallo, I am an italian aquarist from 20 years (Excuse my poor english if you can )
I have four aquariums
In one of these I I have a couple of Balloon Ram (in a 60 litre)
When they (and if they...) will reprodice ... Fries will be Balloon Ram or Normal Ram ?
Someone thinks Balloon Ram are hybrids...
Another Question: What Do you think about these fishes ?
In Italian forums a lot of people thik they are a sort of mosters but I don't thins so.
They appear very lively and a very clouse couple and I don't think they can really suffer bone deasese or something else ( I read they usually live in aquarium more yeras than normal ones)

I have never seen these fish myself, but if they are known to develop problems it is probably best not to breed them. Here is what the "Seriously Fish" site says:

A 'balloon' strain of Rams has been developed in the Far East. We recommend avoiding these fish as they have been known to suffer swimbladder and digestive problems due to the cramped body shape and its affect on the internal organs.
