Baby OB Peacocks, and Baby Yellow Lab Fry =)

ix was an oops, net fell in with the younger lab fry, but they get on fine. I'll separate them later, easy enough to tell apart. lol These are the little babies born last month.

Mama is very difficult to get a good shot of when she's not holding, but worse when she's got eggs. She tried a second time, I ended up separating since she's going to wear herself out if she keeps that pace up. She dropped them...which I was both bummed about, but also relieved since I was afraid for her health.

Dad is a Dragonblood. At least I think, otherwise the only male I had was uh...A butterfly Otterpoint(sorry, no photo of him, and can't get one since he died last month when he got stuck in a decoration) and a Blue Neon. lol OB peacocks...some will be funky for sure if dad wasn't the DB. Personally don't mind hybrid peacocks though. =P

Anywho, I think those babies are so cute. No color yet, but some have their black splotches coming in...some were born with them, others are silver. Some are just starting to get in a bit of orange coloring, but not much. I don't expect much for another month, but the orange ones tend to color up faster than most peacocks. Some of my nine month olds(suspecte females) don't have any color yet either, and a few males just starting to show.

Haha, I shouldn't write when I'm so tired. Baby fry indeed. Being the same thing, that was silly of me. =P

I've also got a surviving baby bristlenose pleco. Seems to be holding his or her own in there. I'm hoping it is male, anyways, I have a lovely long-fin female my current male pays no attention to.
Their nest met with an accident...I tried to raise them, but I'm no daddy pleco, and only one of ten seems to have survived it all. I thought seven would, but they vanished and I never found a trace though they were kept in a large homemade net with an airstone in a cycle nursery. Who knows, maybe they'll turn up...afterall my survivor did, somehow out of the net. lol

Sylverclaws here, my new account updating!

Moved the kiddies to a new, larger nursery, still not big enough, but better than the 20 gal. ^^;
Got a youtube video instead of photos, my new camera doesn't take good ones of moving targets without flash, which ruins color.

Sorry about the shaking camera. ^^;

New Babies!

Mama snuck in a batch on me. She spat them out just before midnight last night. Well, one out. Looks like I got some albino babies this time! I don't have any albinos, but the new dragon blood I rescued certainly has the gene with his red eyes and super red coloring. Only one I saw, snagged a couple photos and then let her be since he was the very first escapee...and already swimming! He's solid white with red eyes. I'll see if any new ones are out, since just that one escaped, I let her be. I hope she will spit them out and not eat them like she did the last batch(they weren't ready yet though, the one she spit out was only just starting to hatch, the rest she ate, I assume since I never found them).
