ix was an oops, net fell in with the younger lab fry, but they get on fine. I'll separate them later, easy enough to tell apart. lol These are the little babies born last month.
Mama is very difficult to get a good shot of when she's not holding, but worse when she's got eggs. She tried a second time, I ended up separating since she's going to wear herself out if she keeps that pace up. She dropped them...which I was both bummed about, but also relieved since I was afraid for her health.
Dad is a Dragonblood. At least I think, otherwise the only male I had was uh...A butterfly Otterpoint(sorry, no photo of him, and can't get one since he died last month when he got stuck in a decoration) and a Blue Neon. lol OB peacocks...some will be funky for sure if dad wasn't the DB. Personally don't mind hybrid peacocks though. =P
Anywho, I think those babies are so cute. No color yet, but some have their black splotches coming in...some were born with them, others are silver. Some are just starting to get in a bit of orange coloring, but not much. I don't expect much for another month, but the orange ones tend to color up faster than most peacocks. Some of my nine month olds(suspecte females) don't have any color yet either, and a few males just starting to show.
