I have 10 mystery snails in the same 55 gal tank as 13 mbuna cichlids and 2 plecos and 2 peacock eels and everybody gets along great. The only problems that I have are between the cichlids but they are not aggressive towards any of the others except the danios that I used to cycle the tank.
They are only about one inch to 2 inches. It might be a little over stocked but I have read numerous times over the internet that a slight over stock lowers the aggression and all of my fish get along great with each other.
this thread is old news...i got my answer. heres what i found. my cichlids are big. they were attacking the mystery snails. the snails never came out of the shell after being attacked by the cichlids. i also think the high ph got to the snail. he didnt survive.
once your cichlids get bigger, they will most likley go after the snails.
