Hello, I'm new here. I joined lookin for help in the identification of a Chinchlid I purchased from the dreaded Wal-Mart. It is very pretty and very mean to others. It is bight orange all over. He doesnt have a notched forehead like some Chinchlids. He is kinda shaped like the Electric Yellow but he has no black marks or lines, he's solid. I'd realy appreciate any help as I'd like to know how big to expect the buggar to get. Thank you.
It is very hard to say which cichlid it would be without a picture. You can try cichlid.com if you would like to take the time. Or you can post a picture and we will all take our shot at identifying it. Sounds like it could be a red zebra. A bread and butter African.
I just looked up Red Zebra on the net and you guys are right on the money!! Thank you! Becouse of all your helpful imput I now know that my fishy is a Red Zebra female that will max out a little less than five inches. Thanks again!
