Angelfish Tail fin off...

Hello there, on my 56 gal tank I have 7 juvenile Angelfish. Before I moved them to their now home, I noticed one of them was missing almost all its tail, not sure what happened.. will it grow back? and if so, how long will it take?
Thanks! :)

it will depend on the fish involved and how much of its tail was lost.it will grow back but you must make sure it doesn't get a secondary infection or it could kill the fish. i would like to advise you to use a qt tank for the fish to heal a little if his tank mates are the ones that caused this.use a bit of genaral aid in the tank to aid in the healing process and ward off any infections.

I did a water change a couple days ago and gave the tank a little extra Stress Coat. the angels get along just fine among each other and since they are by themselves in the new tank I'm confident there will not be any more nipping, for the time being. Its tail is just a nub now but it looks like it might be starting to grow back

general aid is good but it will turn the tank green. i like the intrepet range as they are colorless.

Well... I haven't done much to the tailless Angel since we last talked except the Stress Coat, food and love :) and it seems like the tail nub is rounding up and maybe starting to grow back..? There's no sign of infection or discomnfort. It swims and eats like any other. We'll see the outcome, and I'll try to take a picture of it.
