Is it cruel to separate a "courted" angelfish couple?
They are starting to display the mating rituals, and I cannot have angelfish babies, I don't have the space.
There are 3 angelfish in the tank, two males and one female,
one of the males is not interested at all in the female, but one male is starting to protect her from other fish, and has attacked one of my sharks for swimming past her.
I cannot have this sort of aggression in my tank and I have removed the "love-bird" gentlemen for the safety of my other fish.
Is this cruel to do to the angelfish?
Will one angelfish be okay, alone, in a tank? or should I move the female into the tank with him?
Responses ASAP will be best. thank you
