Maybe 3 tops .I have two of them in a 30 gallon long tank .I got them about a 2 months ago at the size of a quarter. Now they're a little big than a silver dollar coin . I Love the cat in the pic .

The only way I can see three working is if no two pair up. And even then, that's going to be some tight quarters, which usually increases aggression.

Is the tank a 30 or a 29? A 30 is 36 inches long whereas a 29 is 30 inches.

If its 36 inches, then I might try to keep 2, but if it's 30 inches I would not keep any.

That's less than 20 gallons - I would not get any angels.

Also, if the tank is too small for two angels, would it be ok to house one? Or would it get lonely?

So, how big does a tank have to be for two to four angels?
