Cool, I'm getting some angelfish for my 29 gallon high, once I get a pair it'll probably just be them and a dither fish, so they eat a minimal amount of eggs. If anyone wants to get Pterophyllum leopoldi, click here. I can't get that kind right now, wish I could! But I'm short on money. So it has to be local, I can't afford shipping. Oh well. My tank is now ready!

RIP fire eel
why did you think it was a good idea to keep going over the top of the tank
when you realized you couldn't breathe outside water?

I have four angels in a 55 gallon planted low tech tank and two of them started spawning yesterday. This is the first time I have experienced this and I am very excited. I got some great pics of the occasion that I wanted to share.

Today I noticed that some had not been fertilized (turned white) and the koi angel was eating them. She was being diligent in fanning the eggs and only eating the unfertilized ones.

Pretty cool experience...incidently, my bolivian rams started spawning yesterday as well for the first time as well...in a different tank!

right now my angels are in a crowded community tank till i can rehome some. there a couple silver rainbows in there (unknown type- i believe their hybrids) that are going to be rehomed soon, their the only ones harassing the angels occasionally. the tiger barbs in there (yes i said barbs) completely avoid the angels- yes i know its only a matter of time and trust me i had tried to remove them- and i still plan to- the barbs are going to go to a 30g i have. the angels are in a 55 currently. i was given 12.

in time i hope to divide them up and place some in another tank or two. i have mostly zebra/pearls and one gold pearl- unknown who is what yet- their about 4-5 months old. i forget when they were spawned.

i just remember receiving the first batch of them in the mail- the very day my abn's spawned! lol.

the rest of the angels occupants are a couple neons, a false julie cory, couple abn fry and a few clown loaches.

Very Pretty! Here's my angel:
I am looking to find him (I think?) a mate, I have been having issues finding one close to his size and in good health (everything I have seen is all beat up looking.) Have any hints on what to looking for if I want to get him a girlfriend?

I didn't start out a huge fan of Angels but I think that I might be hooked now. This girl or boy (I have no idea) is what hooked me.

and some of my others
Chocolate

Marble

Koi?

that fish has a most striking marking on the other side. I wish I could capture it. I would like to produce a color marking like that.

For some reason I can't even get a good photo of him swimming in the other direction. lol
