Im thinking about getting angelfish for my 50 gallon tank. Can some one tell me what I would need for a 50 gallon tank? one thing I would like to know is hw many fish could fit in there and the fish still be OK? And would it be possible to breed them in there?
hi
the tank will need to be 18inches high at least,
it is always best to start with a large group and let them pair
then remove the others, angels get very territorial(sp) when
spawning.
stocking levels i hope someone can advise you with.
i would recomend the tank to be planted, with tall plants included,
you can also provide flat rocks and wood for decoration.
gravel should be fine.
When I came home from a party I saw that one of my angelfish was stuck to the filter intake and i took him off and she floated to the top, then I poked him and he started to swim fine. I will keep you updated.
Angel Fish like extremly dense plants and young ones do not do so well with a strong water flow. If you can turn down you flow rate without compromising water quality that would be good.
since we cant see the pictures that you posted before unless we get a membership do you think you could post some more of your tank?
