Angel Rams??????

Ok so I was at a fish store in Houston today and saw something that made me laugh out loud. They were labeled as "Angel Rams" and looked exactly like a German Blue Ram buuuuuuut were shaped like..........balloon mollies I guess. Very round, short and plump. I assumed they were some disgusting hybrid of rams and angels and while they were absolutely beautiful as for as color was concerned but laughable as far as body shape. Has anyone seen something like this or is this some new and stupid?

They are still blue rams. Angelfish will never interbreed with the blue rams. Apparently, this is a mixture of balloon, veiltail and the original morphs. What you have seen are actually veiltail morphs.:) Well, I find the name 'Angel' hardly a good description anyway.

It's not new but I find it stupid because they are fooling around Mother Nature.
