Does anybody know where I can purchase a good quality albino red tiger oscar or a long finned oscar? I found an albino red oscar on somethingsphishy.com but I haven't heard such great things about that website... Any help would be appreciated, none of my local aqaurium shops carry them, I live in a fairly small town so theres a petco, petsmart, and one independent aquarium shop and...walmart... Thank you, Michael:)

Maybe your local aquarium shop can special order? I'm not sure if they do that for stuff they don't normally carry but it's worth a shot. I wouldn't bother with Walmart, petco or petsmart personally, but then again I'm pretty blessed to have a pretty nice LFS right down the street from me. I know of liveaquaria.com but I don't know about their availability for oscars. I know they are associated with drs foster and smith, a website I highly recommend. In any case, good luck! Maybe check on the fish breeders thingy on here to.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I know that most local fish stores will gladly place special orders. They may not carry the fish normally, but odds are one of their suppliers has access to these fish and can get them for you. This ends up being cheaper than ordering online because you don't pay shipping costs, which can be quite high for live fish.

Actually, I've seen albino tiger oscars for sale at Petsmart (although I haven't seen long-finned oscars there) so even Petsmart may be able to special order them for you. I know my local Petsmart will place special orders.

I guess I'll have to talk to the people at petsmart then because I gave the guy at the aquarium center a call and apparently he can order them but he would have to get 6 or 7 at a time but he won't because he says he doesn't have enough room at the store for them and I only have room for 1 more in my tank. Thanks guys
