Are they mating cause i thought they were infertile

they wont be matting but its just natural for them to dig :):):)......even if you move the gravel sand back in the hole, your fish will just dig it back up again :):):)

Actually Parrots can lay eggs and if they are both cleaning a spot they may be getting ready to spawn. Whether the eggs will be fertile, well that's another question.

OK, they have just kept digging, nothing new. the green one I have has actually guarded it every now and then and been more aggressive then i have even seen him
