Talking YAY! Babies!

My neighbor has 2 tetras. She didnt know whether each was a boy/girl or boy and girl. So shes had them for a while, and she came over yesturday and she gave me the news that YAY! They had babies!
So we walked to her house and i saw the babies. They were in a baby saver... but there was only 2 of them. But they were still adorable! :D

So I have a question.
Once they are big enough, are they aloud to go back with their parents? Will they eat each other? Would they fight?

Thanks :D

Decided to get back into Betta's since Squirt died. It's been a few years but I'm excited

What is the species of tetra? Generally, with the non-predatory characins, the fry can be placed in a comunity tank with other fish (and their parents) once they are large enough not to be considered as food by the other fish. Most do not fight amongst themselves, although males frequently engage in displays and "mock" battles but seldom does injury result. But this depends upon species.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
