I have a red bellied pacu in a 30 gal tank. It is about 5 inches now, but i know it grows to be 2 feet long. Now according to the 1 inch=1 Gallon rule, it should be fine, but i have measured out 2 feet and it seems that the pacu would be very packed in, and wouldnt be able to even turn around. Will it be ok?
1" per gallon is one of the dumbest rules that is being passed around. I don't know why it caught on so well but the only way it could apply is if all of the fish in the tank didn't get bigger than 1-2".
A RB pacu will require at least 360 gallons. Its already to big for your tank and should be moved.
Do you have any idea how a full grow pacu would look in a 30 gallon tank?! ... You in a box.
do you want this? this guy isnt even full grown -- it was a cruelty case.
