BTW Byron, the Peace River gravel looks great, very natural, and while I miss seeing Cory tracks in the sand, I think they appreciate the more subdued color (although I have to admit I'm not certain what true Cory shoaling behavior is). Even more satisfying is watching a Sterbai eat a bloodworm like a huge noodle.
I went back to the vid to check out the gravel, as I wasn't connecting all this before. I agree, very nice Mike. They way you're working on this tank it is going to be one super-duper aquarium, especially when the plants start filling in. Nice job. B.

Well, the shy female I refered to in earlier posts is dead. I found her tonight sticking to the filter intake. When I disposed of her, I couldn't help but notice that her tail fin was completely gone.

I have no proof, but I am wondering if the evidence is not stacking up against the mean female. Down to her and three males now.

I will get the black paper tomorrow after work. If I find another dead tetra tomorrow, she might join him.

Who am I kidding, I'll just give her back to Petco...I'm too much of a softie to kill a fish.

I swear I have the worst luck with Petco fish.

No deaths today, but I have noticed one of my 3 males has freshly tattered fins. She's outta here.
