New Von Rio Orange tetras

I went to a Petco in my area and bought 12 Von Rio Orange tetras. What caught my eye was the red/orange color in the fins. They are sometimes called Flame tetras. I only paid $1.79 each for them. I bought the whole tank of them which were the 12.

I found this on youtube of what they look like

We have this species included in our Profiles, under Characins obviously, here's the direct link where you'll find some info on this nice fish.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

Byron, thanks for the link. Mine do not have the stripe like the flame tetra. They are just like the youtube picutes yellowish with the red fins. I can't wait to release them in my big 55 gal. tank with the 6 Harlequen Rasboras, 2 Bosemani Rainbows, 2 Angelfish, 2 Bushy nosed plecos, 12 Assassin snails. I'm moving out my 4 Bumblebee platies and the 5 espi rasboras to a new 20 gal. after it cycles.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that it is the same fish, only a new colour variant through breeding. But the species is the same, so the info on care, etc in the Profile applies. Should have made that clearer. Nice little fish, and the orange is a nice burst of colour. B.
