I bought six neon tetras last Friday and they were dead by Sunday.
It was freezing outside, so I had them put in a second bag, blew air in it and tied it off. Then I put my gloves in the shopping bag and the fish bag between them. I wrapped that up and tied it tight. Then I put that inside another shopping bag.
When I went home, I put the fish bag in a big bowl and poured water from my tank around it, a little at a time. After 30 minutes, I started adding little amounts of my tank water into the fish bag. After an hour, I netted them carefully into the tank. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but they all died. Are they that fragile?
