Actually, these are tiny little freshwater shrimp we are talking about and I'd be more than happy to send you some but your Denisons would snap them up in a heart beat! If you want to set up a little tank for shrimp (they can be kept in tiny tanks, 3gl and even less) I will send you some! Most fish consider these little guys nothing more than snacks and I would feel bad knowing I was shipping them out to their doom.

As far as giving away fish? Never, I could never part with any of my fish!!

Kymmie, You can look at the R/O water systems on www.costco.com I got the Premier Reverse Omossis water system with the 5 gal. tank and 3 filter system under my kitchen sink with the water spout for $159.99 you can get replacement filters from Costco also. I use this water for coffee and drinking water also and cooking.The cheaper ones start at $59.99. I've seen people buy their water at Aquatic Warehouse and bring those big 5 gal. plastic jugs to fill. I'm not sure how much they charge for their R/O water. This is easier getting this system.
If you are not a member of Costco I can take you as I have a membership. If you might want to get a water system for your house.

I Maybe getting some Mosquito fish for free from the San Diego Vector water company to put in a unfiltered tub pond I'm setting up in my backyard today with water plants. I'm thinking of maybe getting some Variatus platies instead as they do good in colder ponds.The mosquito fish are plain looking and the others type is more colorful and better looking.

Those crystal shrimps (AKA Bee shrimps) breed like cherries in ideal conditions, but you have to make sure the tank is planted well, and you have a subtle sponge filter with no other tank mates. The baby bee shrimp are about the size of a live brine shrimp... and equally tasty.\

Those shrimp will do well with peat-filtered water to lower the ph.

I'm a member, where else can you purchase gasoline and get 3% back of gasoline purchases?? You have to use your Amex card in order to get the rebate but it's well worth it in my opinion.
I need to head over to Costco today so I will check it out.

Maybe I'll combine my RCS into one tank and attempt the Crystal Reds in the other one? I'm always looking for something new to try. I was needing a reason to break it down since it has white sand and the red shrimp don't look as good against white sand as they do black sand.

I loved SD Vector! They came up and gave me some traps (for free!) and also talked to my STUPID IDIOT neighbor about her feeding the wildlife at night. Not that it did any good but at least they tried.
When I get my pond set up this spring I'm going to be getting their mosquito fish for free too!

Ron already gives me huge discounts! That's what you get when you're a loyal customer going on three years. The last time I was in he gave me a couple of assasins (no charge) and my pair of dwarf cockatoos were 1/2 off what he had them listed for on the tank. Ron likes me. Yay for me!

If you ever want to go "shopping" in his store you need to take me with you. When Lisa (who you sold your 55gl to) was stocking her tank she took me with her and Ron also gave her a deal, because she's my friend.

I can't make the March 13th meeting as my nephews will be in town that weekend and I devote all my time and energy to them when they are visiting. They are only young once!
