I have got 10 cardinals in my 5 gal QT for about 2 wks now. I do not want to add them all to main tank (25 gal moderately planted) at the same time. I would like add in batches. Any advice how many at a time and how space the batches time wise? Thanks.

I would add them together, they will settle in much better. I assume your concern is the ammonia, but if you have plants as you mention, this should not be an issue. Floating plants should be present, to calm this fish but also to use the ammonia even faster.

Yes, I am concerned about having a sudden increase in bio-load, though I was told cardinals are small bio-load. I do have anacharis mostly planted, but a few stalks floating. I am planning to add 5 now and 5 about a week later. I would hate it should anything bad happen. I have been very good (this time!) with these school of cardinals - proper QT with daily ~50% water change and everything... Thanks.
