I currently have 1 black skirt tetra, long fin version. I am thinking of getting another one. I know they like to be in schools of 5 or more, but my tank is only 2.5 gallons. I will be upgrading my tank to a much larger size in about a month and then I will get a full school. I just wanted to know if 2 long fin black skirt tetras will get along, and if it is a good idea?

Two of them will do fine together.

I wouldn't do this if your tank has not been cycled yet.

Thanks for your reply. The tank is cycled; I've had it for about a month and a half now. :)
