Amazon is up! QT is empty! What next?

Hey guys! Many of you have heard the great news that I finally got my amazon tank up that I have been working on since October of 2010. It is finally up with water, plants, and fish. Hopefully, my amazonian plant collection will grow extensively over the next several months.

I am going to wait at least a week, but probably more (just in case one of my reciently netted tetras gets sick) until I add new fish into the QT.

First, I probably need to special order some things, though. I am thinking about maybe going to a bare-bottom setup with a sponge filter, carbon filter, and a very regular water change schedule. In this thread, I am also trying to find an idea for an ideal QT setup. As a member on here pointed out, my last design was not a proper setup, and not as safe as it needed to be. If you guys have suggestions for that as far as filtration, water change schedule, and decoration if any, that would be great!

I do like to plan ahead, though. I am going to setup a survey for which fish you guys think I should Q next. Please note that the survey will be missing several species from my stocking list, because I am not going to special order Marbled Hatchetfish, Bolivian Rams, or Ember Tetra at this point. The rest are somewhat common. I will give approximate prices with the schools of fish.

Anyway, I may get some pictures up in awhile.

I can't garantee that I will choose the popular vote of the survey. I just want to see what you guys would do in my shoes. I will probably give more consideration into what you guys choose, though.

You guys do not have to, but I would like you to say why it would be neat to Q the species you guys vote for. Just for feedback.

All is well in the amazon this morning. The tetras have been swimming back and forth, and they are no longer afraid of me. The bigger tank has really changed their behavior. They swim back and forth as a group, and it is really neat to watch how one tetra will take the lead, and then later another tetra will swim off and come back, or the group will follow it, and it becomes to new leader for a little while.

I really think I want to do Neon Tetra next. They are an impressive choice, with a nice sized group for their toll on the bio-load. I probably wont Q fish for at least 2 weeks, but it is nice to plan ahead. Any of the choices above I will be willing to consider if it gets some votes.
