Wood for Bristlenose?

I just got an albino Bristlenose Pleco and read on the forum that they should have driftwood to chew on. Is this a definite need? I already have my tank decorated with a very large piece of artificial wood and dont really want to add anything else. Will the Pleco be alright without real wood to chew on?

yea it really is a good thing to have in the tank, what about buying driftwood and cutting it up into smaller pieces, so that you can hide the wood and the bristlenose can use it and get to it :D good luck.
