I read that they have to have driftwood to munch on for digestion so i ordered a piece of mopani drift wood online. the piece will not be in for six days. Will he be ok until the driftwood comes in. I plan on boiling it for an hour, cool down and put it in. i'm not worried about the tea color or anything. I just want to get it in as soon as possible. If you think all will be good ill probably soak it for a day or two i just want him to be happy.
I think the fish will be ok for a week. I have collected driftwood from lakes and rivers and then boiled the %*!#@ out of it and had no issues. But some wood ,depending on where it came from,,, could have absorbed all kinds of fertilizers,pesticides etc.So I can't recommend that you do it. Just some food for thought
