Are these both Panda Cory's

So i just got new panda corys for my gal as the out i i origionaly bought did not make it past 2 weeks. That was months ago.

So I add these corys (which is a whole different story as my cat decided to climb in the acclimating bucket with them and knock everyone onto the carpet) and i notice the new guys are like double the size of my 4 moth old guys. Could it be the corys I just got were older? Altthough I bought them from the same place and last time I was there they were out of the pandas.

Look like Panda's to me.

Just because animals can't talk, does not mean they should not be heard

The both pandas. It could be that some are older, but also sometimes fish are larger than others.

55 gallon planted tank, starting over!!!( looking crappy, needs a major rescape)

Fish grow, and this species can attain 2 inches though usually it stays smaller. Mine do not grow fast, any time I've had them, but I have seen 2-inch fish in stores (wild caught). I don't know if there is some relation between diet and size, since I do have some corys that clearly grow regularly and they are in with these that do not, or not very much. Or between wild caught and commercially raised; all commercial fish are raised not wild, unless you get them imported directly, and those I've had do not grow much.??

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. [unknown source]

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
