Synodonitis Petricola.. breeding..

I'm looking to breed these cute little cats..

I currently have 3 and I'm looking to acquire a total of 6 for my 50G tank.
I have lots of caves, 8.3 pH (with the help of aragonite sand), temp kept 78-82, fed pellets, bloodworms and brine shrimp.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has any luck with them?? I've searched and searched and I can't find anything that says what an ideal ratio of male to female would be..
Most "catfish" come up 2:1, but does that apply to these little guys or is 1:1 sufficient?? I'm thinking if it's more 2:1 then I'd probably be more apt to have 9 instead of 6.

Any ideas would be great.. Thanks..

I've read there are many other synos that are very hard to breed in comparison to petricolas.. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them..

There was once a time when Yellow Labs Cichlids were so hard to breed.. and I've done that.. So a challenge in getting it right to make it work is right up my alley!
