I would put money on the bottom ones being synodontis nigriti, otherwise known as the common synodontis and I would guess that the top one is a juvenille of the same species. However not being able to see the size of each it's harder to say. If the top is a good bit smaller than the bottom then I will stand by what I said.

the top one is about 2 inchs long and a juvinile
the bottom is about 6-7 ichs and full grown
the top ones pattern is more "blobby"than the bottoms and its fins are slightly barred its also a greyer color(but maybe due to lighting)

In that case then I'm pretty certain that they're both nigrita (my other post should say nigrita too, not nigriti, sorry - typo).

The bottom ones won't grow much bigger, if any now.

Lovely fish BTW.

i was in with firemouths originally when i couldnt upgrade the tank to larger it stayed behind when they went and became part of my african setup now its adult size is an issue the bottom one is partial to neon tetras but is still very peceful but the smaller may not be the same species

I see!

I have a fully grown one and she is very peaceful but they can get quite territorial. I have 2, and one, the younger, not fully grown one, is extremely territorial. Neither has even touched the fry thoguh!

Be careful not to feed. They have ravenous appetites as you may have seen and they do grow quickly. I do think the top is a nigrita, but even if it's not, this tends to be true of all synos. If the adult size is a problem, overfeding will obvioudly just accelerate the problem.

Failing that, send it to me :P
