swollen stomach and red mark on side of plec.

My daughter is having problems with her plec.. its about 6 months old there is a red mark on its side that looks rather like blood under the skin. the stomach is really swollen and theres small blisters around its face.
At first i thought it was pregnant but not so sure now.
Advice would be appriciated has the grandchildren really love the fish..
The other fish in the tank are mollys guppys and two apple snails..

Have you check the ammonia levels? or all the water levels for that matter? if not I would recommend getting a liquid test kit and doing so,and, do 20-30% every couple days.

It might be bacterial infection like columnaris

might also be good to isolate it if the other fish or not effected, if you have another tank. might have to treat with an anti bacterial med
