Yup serpaes are beautiful fish. Pretty aggressive though - good candidates for a semi-aggressive community, with the like of tiger barbs.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

I'm glad to know ghost shrimp are not seen often. I did a water change and really swished my live plants in the tank. I saw him once after that, but not for a week now.

hey rexpepper651, those are kinda cool. I will put those on my list ty.

As far as our ghost shrimp we have only 4 and we can find them rather easily.Granted the tank is new and quite empty atm, so I imagine as the tank starts to fill up with deco. and plants they will become harder to find.

It all depends on the quality of stock. They are the most popular fish In the hobby so breeding pressures are very strong.

We have a MVPets store here and they seem to know more about fish than say.... um Petco. Though I suppose it still depends on their stock as well.

How about Loaches. They musy have some that are a good community (non aggressive) tank?

Zebras are readily available, not too expensive (most loaches are) and good community tank members. Kuhlis are another good one.

I have Zebra and Angelicus loaches in my 55 and they are perhaps my favorite fish to watch in that tank..and most certainly the most active and weird fish.
