A friend is leaving town and had to find new homes for all of his fish. I offered to take his whiptail catfish (fairly young, about 3 inches long). I'm a little unsure of the specific species, but from my understanding they all have a good temperment and are not territorial. I don't have any pictures yet, and based upon the pictures I've seen online I've narrowed it down to a few species, the most likely is Rineloricaria latirostris.
Are there any specific quirks these fish tend to have? I've placed him in a tank with lots of driftwood and plants with half a dozen cory's (which from my research they get along with very well). Is there any specific care tips that should be exercised with this fish? Also, would it be best to find another same/similar specie fish, and, if so, should it be of same or different sex?
