Raphael Catfish with weird bubble by anal fins?!! help?!

Hello there. I have a 55 gallon freshwater fish aquarium with the normal community fish in it..guppies, platties, mollies, plecos, couple angels..and I did have a raphael catfish. For the past couple days I have noticed my catfish acting strange. He was not in his normal hiding spot, out in the open during daylight hours, his eyes were cloudy like when a snake is getting ready to shed and then just this morning I caught a glimpse of his undercarriage, and he had a half a pea size blister looking thing on his anus??!! Sadly he passed away today, and I am just heartbroken cause he was my favorite! I posted a picture along with the thread..any ideas??!

so sorry for your loss..i love those catfish ..
perhaps it was a parasite of some kind…hopefully someone else
might comment with an idea.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
