Well as it turns out,one of my bettas passed away (sometime today in fact). He was in a 9 gallon tank. So that works out perfectly to q-tine the new guys. Plenty of room. I have them floating in their bags, all survived the trip so far. The pencils, two have their normal stripes, the rest are still pale. Did two cups so far for acclimating them. One more should do it or should I wait until they all get their regular stripes. I am going to see what ones they are exactly now lol.

I drip acclimate and don't release them into the tank until the ph matches perfectly between bag & tank. I always release at night with the lights off. I believe that's less stressfull for our fish.
Sorry about your betta.

Thanks. Oh okay. I acclimated them for...awhile...hour about...lights on....heh...they are now all in the tank. Most of the pencils except one has its normal stripe. The corys seem fine, swimming around. The shrimp seems okay I guess....hes walking around and stuff....not sure what to look for in a sick shrimp lol.

Pencils will change their patterning when stressed, and when they are settled it will return. It can take days for them to really brighten up. And they will also change their pattern every night. All the species that have a lateral strip or stripes lose them at night and they break up into a series of dots and dashes sort of; it's their thing.

Oh okay. I was wondering why some had like dots or dashes rather than stripes. One seems to have no color still, everyone else has color of some sort.
