Powerhead Flow Rate for CAE?

I am moving a Golden Algae Eater (Chinese Algae Eater) into a 30 gallon (36x16x12?) along with some Zebra Danios. I am going to add a power head because they all enjoy a current, but I don't know the proper gph of the power head. Any ideas?

Well, I don't think the current has to be strong. As a matter of fact, I think that the typical HOB filter that is the appropriate size for the tank will provide plenty of current. Just a suggestion...read the fish profile for the Chinese Algae Eater.

Welcome to the forum

What do you have for a filter? that will make a difference.

Also, CAEs are in the barb/minnow/goldfish family, not catfish. FYI

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

oh! thanks, good to know. Liveaquaria has them under their sucker-cats section. Probably not the best source of information :P I'd be using 2 Aqueon QuietFlows (200 gph each, hob type)
