New L200 pleco!

Well, I broke down and bought a L200 (Green Phantom) pleco today. Well worth the $70! I'm seriously in love. Sorry for the cruddy photo, he's still in his bag acclimating. I'd love to hear from others who have kept these guys.

It's very pretty! I absolutely love it. We have those for sale at 3000 pesos but I will not buy one. Too expensive for my taste and besides, I am better off with the 5 here I have and my loaches.;)

Estimate 75 US dollars. It's expensive either way. Our economy is different. I could have 25 tiger loaches.

Lovely pleco, okamavis :) Especially since he's part of the Ancistrus clade. Species is
Baryancistrus demantoides; the L 200 designation was retired when they were named to science I think in 05 or 06. Some pretty fish in the Baryancistrus genus, gold nuggets being one of them.
Hope you have great good luck with him; they are real charmers.

I believe my LFS sells tiger loaches for $4 a piece, and if I bought 25 I'm sure I'd get a discount and end up only paying $3/fish. So not too different. I bet you get some good discounts on SE Asian fish though, what with the shorter shipping distance. With the price of fuel these days, that's a big factor.
