Question New Cory Behavior

My panda cories have always been a little shy and hide under their rock/in the plants with the occasional playing in the front of the tank (pretty darn adorable). Just recently, I got a new hood (no lighting changes) which enabled me to put my fry refugium in the back of the tank. In the process, I moved my filtration and heating to the very right of the back side of the tank. Ever since I did that, the cories have been eagerly swimming up in the current of the filter by the glass near the top and then swimming back down. They repeat this over and over again. It looks like their just kind of having fun and following each other around. Has anybody had anything like this happen before? Is it normal of them? All of my params are normal and I haven't changed anything besides what I already said. Thanks for your input!

corys absolutley love swimming into the filter output, mine always do it. Especially at night. Also when my albinos do it its usually a sign to expect lots of eggs

Completely normal Cory behavior. I have 3 Albino Cory and 3 Emerald/Green Cory. The more Cories you have, the more activity they will show. They are the greatest aquarium fish of all time. Loveable, peaceful and fun to watch. not to mention they help keep your tank clean.

If you ever wake up in the middle of the night, check out your tank. You will see them be SUPER active. Night time is their favorite time.

Sometimes I've even caught them all huddling up together (on top of each other). The Albinos and the Emeralds all cuddled up in the corner of the tank with the largest one on top. They remind of of puppies in many ways, as their behavior almost mimics that of puppies.
