New Bristlenose Plecos! questions on feeding?

i just got two new albino bristlenose plecos today! they are currently being acclimated to the temperature in their new tank. :) i know a lot of people feed them steamed zucchinis and that they like to eat algae, but what else do they like to eat? how often should i feed them and how much?

Algae tablets would probably be the best staple, with blanched green vegetables in small amounts (like zucchini) once a week- Give them a few minutes to eat, but don't leave it in the tank longer than an hour... And do a water change after.

thanks i'll have to try giving them zucchini sometime (my neighbor grows some fresh in her garden) and my brother has algae tablets left over from his algae eater. I know i have yet to find some driftwood to put in there for them to munch on but the pet store i got them from didn't appear to have any real, fish safe driftwood.

I think there maybe some driftwood for sale in the classifieds now or check ebay or aqua bid.

Do you live near a lake? I wanted a piece of driftwood also but didn't like the price. I went to Lake Texoma and found more driftwood than I can use. One of the pieces is in a goldfish tank, a pic of it is on my profile, if you can blow the pic up. The lake has many more wood choices than a lfs and they're free. I just got a bristlenose today also, and he can't leave the wood alone.

I might have too. seeing as I live in Minnesota there are plenty of lakes nearby. Though i did find a website that will send me driftwood for a fairly low price (at least compared to the price on other sites and stuff) which is nice cause then i won't have to worry about cleaning it up and whether or not bad bacteria from the lake will end up in my tank. I found it on Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Supplies at AquariumGuys.com it seems that a lot of their other stuff is being sold at decent prices as well
