so the guy that runs our local fish store (and hunting/fishing store lol) is an idiot. i've finally confirmed it. i almost hate going there because he always tries to talk to me about different fish but nothing he says is EVER correct! anyway, there was a mature catfish in a tank with some koi fish, i asked him what it was and he said it was an upside-down catfish. yeahhhh.. no! this thing was at least six inches long! looked nothing like what he said it was! i think it might be a synodontis lace catfish, but i can't find any good pictures on the internet to confirm this. i'm thinking about going up there tomorrow evening so if he still has it maybe i'll catch a picture of it. because i'd really like to have whatever the heck it is!!!! anyway, just wondering if anyone had a picture of a mature synodontis lace catfish? :D

There are two different species of "upside down cats" the asian and african but since you said it looks like a lace its for sure not an asian.

Also if its 6" its not an african upside down cat and ive never seen a lace that large. Id look up Synodontis eupterus or possibly Synodontis schoutedeni.

If the two i listed arn't correct then a pic would make my search a lot shorter.
