name that catfish helppp!

i went to my lfs and saw this extremely cool catfish with a long name~!! its name started with an s and looked more like a genis name. its kinda black and dark blue with a flat belly and triangly body. they said better if kept in groups of 3 or more. can someone name these??? i forgot there name and i want to research!

.........why would i have pictures? it was a new shipment into my lfs and i dont ever bring the camera there. please if anyone ANYONE can help do so. i think ill just make the drive back there tomorrow or thursday and write it down.

Sigmund. The Catfish's name was definitely Sigmund.

Seriously, though, methinks Blue likely has the right of it - Synodontis. Of course, that tells you precisely diddly, as there are many many species than have all sorts of forms, requirements, and behaviors.

I was thinking Syndontis too. I only have one, it lives with my cichlids. It was expesive, too! Is going well :D
