my chaca chaca catfish

ok well i got a chaca chaca cat hes amazing looking but iv had him for about 3 days now and he wont eat i tryed live food and frozen and frezzed dryed but nothing any one give me some help ?

hello and welcome.
what have you got living in the tank with him,i read on the net they are ambush
feeders. ?
also,some fish do take a few days if not longer to settle into new tanks.
please don't think me rude when i ask if you are a long term fish keeper ?
it's just nice to know about people when they join :)

Here is a good reference page:
Chaca chaca

Beware of a few facts. First, this fish will eat almost any community fish you keep with it. They are very easy to keep alive, but require a large tank with large tankmates that it can not swallow. Second, according to the attached link, this fish has higher acid concentrations in its stomach than we normally see, and these acids are secreted into the aquarium with its waste, causing high strain on your buffer system and rapid swings in pH. You need to test pH every morning and add the appropriate buffers as necessary. I suspect that running a powerful hang on filter with large amounts of activated carbon (changed weekly!) would provevery helpful.

haha no i dont minde .. well i have a 55g tank with 2 gouramis a bala chark 2 plecos fire eel and the catfish they all get along verry well and yes i wasthing to that he might just be getting new to the tank he found his own lil cave now

and yes i was reading that to be for i got him so i have got every thing ready to keep my tank nice for him and all my other fish

Hah! I love the comment in that link that they are "facial challenged". LOL Very unusual looking catfish.
