Doesn't look like a Synodontis eupterus to me. Another synodontis or possibly a hybrid of two species but I'm stuck right here although planetcatfish.com does give you several images of synodontis for you to identify.

The last photos look like a Syn. nigrita. Are these of the same fish?

Yes, they are pictures of the same fish. They were taken recently
whereas the previous one was in 2004. I only have one catfish.
What a dilemma!

Is my catfish a Synodontis eupterus?

Could my catfish be a Mystus leucophasis? They do
not have the clearly defined spots of other catfish.
