Julii and False Julii Cories Lethargic?

Hey, I have 4 cories. I was reading the profiles, and it seems that two are Julii (dots on side), and two are Trilineatus (Lines on sides). They are in a 10 gallon tank. Low hardness, mid-low pH. Recently, they have been acting very lethargic. They still eat, and sit upright, but do not swim a lot.

Some background info: I also had a very terrible ammonia incident last month, and have only recently treated it. Prior to that, the fish were also quite lethargic, but swam around a lot around 8 PM when I turned off the lights. Now, they just seem like they always are sleeping. Any ideas? Add a couple more Julii/False Julii? Are these fish naturally quiet?

Also, I'm considering adding some focal point fish. Maybe a gourami or a betta.

I wouldn't add any more fish until you can figure out how the others will fare. They likely have been effected/impacted by the ammonia issue, and may/may not recover. Ammonia can be very harmful to fish, and you'll have to wait and see. Are you doing weekly water changes with treated water, to eliminate Chlorine? What water treatment product are you using? Frantic swimming could be related to a water issue problem, such as ammonia or nitrites. These fish are active normally, from what I know. Keep observing, keep up on water changes, test your water regularly, and hope for the best. Best of luck! Later, I would think you could add one more cory, to have a total of 5 and I think a Gourami could work with a Cory, but hopefully someone else will weigh in on that one.
