Can you break up the wafers? Maybe they'll just take little bites out of them. I've seen videos of fish taking bites out of wafers. I bet they're so cute! :)

Oh yeah i guess haha. I didnt though. I plopped in two small wafers. One of them found it was nibbling. the others just keep swimming around like they looney tunes haha. They so crazy! They like go ontop of each other then just like sit there. I like how they all congregate in one area. My water is a lil cloudy from the sand still but not bad. I can see them lol. They are adorable lil things! I was gonna say fellas, but i dunno haha. One didnt look so good in the bag i brought them home in. Once i put them in a bucket with the fresh dechlorinated water that one perked up. Now they all perky and crazy.

Hmmm nother question...since they are in an uncycled qt tank, what kinda water changes should i be doing? NM I looked it up lol. Every couple of days and test it.

Awww, they sound adorable! If one felt comfortable enough to eat, the others might eat in awhile, too.

How do you clean it? I guess you can't use a gravel vac.

Haha i meant the rinsing part before you can even put it in a tank. Because play sand is really dirty. I mustve rinsed and squeezed it like 20 times. It still wasnt perfectly clear! But it was mostly clear so i figured it should be fine haha. It did cloud up my tank a bit like i said before but not too bad. I read after a week or so of water changes itll clear up. But it does cloud up if the sand is stirred up by me or fishy lol. hopefully my filter wont clog up. I left it out while i put the sand in. Waited awhile then put it in to help clear it a lil. So we shall see. Its not like my other filter, its just a internal one connected to an air pump.

I think I read that the filter will help clear the water up. It sounds like the sand was rinsed pretty good. I've been rinsing the heck out of my "new" tank to make sure all the vinegar is out of there. My heater comes tomorrow, I think. :)
