I've fleshed out my bottom dwelers in my 125 gallon with the new additions of two Bristlenose Plecos and 5
Oto Catfish. These are joining my 6 Peppered Corys and 8 Julli Corys. Other fish are 5 Angelfish, 10 Diamond Tetras, 12 Harlequin Rasboras. The tank is a 6 foot 125 gallon. The only other planned additions are 10 - 12 marbled hatchefish.
So I want to get your opinions on what, and how much I should be feeding these guys. There is some algae and diatoms in the tank, but I don't want to rely on that as I think the otos have already cleaned up quite a bit. I do have several pieces of Malaysian Driftwood for the plecos.
With the cory's I was alternating days with one being 12 Omega One Shrimp Pellets and the next day being 3 small algae waffers. On shrimp pellet days, the Diamond Tetras inevitably get 2-3 of the pellets before they make it down to the corys .
On rare occasions the tank will get two cubes of either frozen bloodworms or frozen spirulina brine shrimp.
I have cucumber avalible most of the time in the house, how often should I put a piece in? I had a piece in with them every day (replacing every other day) while they were in quarantine but by about the 4th or 5th day the tank looked like it was starting to get green water algae.
How many algae wafers should I put in now? The ones I have are about a quarter inch diameter ones, they are the small size not the larger size discs.
Should I put in algae wafers every day?
Am I giving enough as is for the 14 corys?
Thanks
