Haha, you can come visit him any time you want, emeraldsky. :D

That's pretty cool about their head and tail being charged differently. Like a little battery.

Loool a battery. There's actually an aquarium or mega mall or something that powered a ginormous Christmas tree using only some sort of electric fish, probably eels or something.

If I had a big enough tank, I could get a bunch of electric fish and make them earn their keep. :D

I thought that was an aquarium in Japan. Either way, here it is on video!

Yep! Those are part of the electro-reception. I can't remember the scientific name for them right now. It's not ampulii de lorenzini as those are on sharks, but it's something similar.

So whatcha gonna name uggoes the electric fish?

Popular opinion seems to be Sparky but there are about 10 suggestions on a different thread of mine so I think his official name will have like 20 parts to it by the time he arrives next week. XD Got the sand laid down, the canister filter is back up and running. Got a new airpump for the sponge filter. Got a Marineland Emperor 400 too but I'm not sure I can stand to use it. It's sooooo loud. I'll see how much waste he puts out. Maybe just the canister and the sponge filter can handle him.

What are the ampulli de lorenzini on sharks? (I love when you post, Izzy, I always learn something new. :3)

ampulli de lorenzini is like a 6th sense for sharks, it allows them to sense mild electrical vibrations in the water, like a struggling injured fish would put out.
