I was surprised. For what I assume to be a rare fish (since they're all wild-caught), he was only $29.99. They had Flowerhorns that were over $300.

Haha, my mom wants to name him Sparky too.

Haha, Lyzza. He doesn't look like a fish, that's for sure. I think he looks like a sausage with whiskers.

Coincidentally I was speaking to a customer at work just last evening and she mentioned wanting to get an electric catfish -- she said when doing maintenance you really don't need to worry about the current they give off (other fish do, but not people), but that electric eels would be an entirely different situation.

I just thought it kind of crazy that that happened about the same time as this thread and thought I would mention what she said. I might still err on the side of caution until confirming it, however.

That is interesting because I was under the impression electric catfish were still pretty rare in the hobby.

Electric eel. Yeah, not ever messing with one of those.
