Third, to your question. Corys are shoaling fish that live in groups of hundreds in the wild, with their own species but in some cases more than one species may be together. In my experience, all do prefer their own species, and when given the option will spend more time with their own than with other species. But, they all get along, so if you want more than one species I would suggest 3 minimum of each. Three to five of a species seems to work well when there is more than one species in an aquarium.
I have seen cases where they school, and cases where they don't. If you would like to mix species I suggest 3 of each, that way if they don't fall all in together they at least make two small groups.
