Question Corydoras Tank, how many?

I'm setting up another tank, this time a 20 long with 260 gph filtration.
How many cories can I keep in there? I was hoping for a few different species and at least 5 of each.. how many?

That is room enough for 12 maybe 14 if you maintain it with descent water changes. If you want to try spawning them you would be better off with just your favourite species.
For me that is Cory Sterbai. They have cute orange pectorals and are fairly easy to spawn once mature. Have fun.

Are you sure I can't have anymore? I would like to think I'm somewhat experienced with 5 tanks

I'm a notorious over-stocker and I wouldn't go any higher than Tankfull's suggestion. Maybe get two groups of six.

I think 12-15 is the limit too. You should have some upper fish; without, corys can sometimes be skittish.

Corys must be in a group, as you probably know, and five of a species is ideal (or more of course). If you have as many as 12, you can have fewer of each species, I would not go below 3 intentionally. A number of species are in our profiles.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
