Actually, I just found a pic of this cory in a book I'm reading about discus -- it's Corydoras melanistius (Black sail cory or Black spot cory or Blue spot cory)
thanks! They were indeed blackfins :D :D

Thread stickied. We need a gallery and a reference as well for the corydoras species. This thread is also linked in a sticky thread in Freshwater Pictures and Videos.

If you are asking to identify your own corydoras, please create a thread for that and once correctly identified, you may post pictures of your cories in this thread along with their ID.

Thank you and good luck to those who keep cories.:)

Hi everyone.

It has been a long time since I've last uploaded my pictures of my fish. Let's get the ball rolling..Some pictures may not be that good though.:( I've struggled to get good photos.

Panda Corydoras
My new pride and joy.

Peppered Corydoras
I bought the large peppered corydoras only yesterday, September 6, 2007. It roamed my tank a few hours after it was introduced and began sifting the bottom for food.

Corys

I love this thread! I really enjoy seeing everyone elses corys. When I had corys in the past I never had more than one or two and they were never happy and didn't live long. Now I've learned they like a group and have two shoals of very happy corys and I LOVE them. I get mine from www.corysrus.com Here's some photos of my Bandit corys. I have 4 of them in my 20 gallon and 6 Leopard corys in my 55 gallon tank. I have a hard time taking photos of the leopards because they just won't be still and I can't get the lighting right in that tank.
